Due to the current and ongoing COVID 19 crisis, and taking into account the recent mandated non essential business shutdowns, we just wanted to bring you up to date on the status of our events and trail permits:
– All future board meetings will be held through teleconferencing so the public will not be able to attend meetings until we are able to go back to face to face meetings
– The June Poker Run fundraiser for the Ross Memorial Hospital is cancelled. We will find a way to continue to support the hospital foundation at a later date
– Club organized rides and events are postponed until further notice. As soon as we are able to we will reschedule club rides the information will be posted.
– The rail trail cleanup has been postponed until further notice.
– We will not be distributing trail pass permit books to retailers until further notice
– All permits can be purchased online through our website at www.katva.ca and they are still being processed.
– As of this past week the municipality has not indicated that the trails will not open as scheduled for May 1st, if this changes we’ll post the information.
– Trail Patrol orientation is postponed but we will be looking at other methods to hold orientation so anyone interested in becoming a member of trail patrol please email us at info@katva.ca
– We did have dates scheduled for CASI ATV safety training but are not going to post those dates at this time as they will very likely change, but please know that as soon as we can we will be holding the courses again
Those looking to purchase or renew trail permits are encouraged to buy online. If that’s not possible contact the Club by email at membership@katva.ca and we can look at alternative methods such as mailed applications, cheques, etransfer and credit card over the phone.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us at info@katva.ca
