May 1st is here and for the first time in the 10 years I’ve been involved with the club the trails are not opening on time. I just want you to know that we are actively working on a solution to open the trails soon. I’ve had many discussions with City staff and councilors, and

Important Notice! We’ve had several conversations with City of Kawartha Lakes staff and the mayor and staff have confirmed that they are hoping to open the trails on May 12th if the state of emergency is lifted at that time. We will follow the same guidelines with the opening of the 5 points trails, including

Rides Cancelled / Postponed

Due to current measures in place restricting the gathering of more than 5 people as a result of covid-19, rides scheduled during the months of April, May and June have been postponed or possibly cancelled at this time.

The affected rides are:

  • Rail Trail Clean-up
  • 5-Points Ride
  • Mud Run
  • New Member/Spouse Ride

Yesterday I received a call from City staff regarding ATVs on the trails and the amount of damage that’s being caused to the trails. Damage that we will have to pay to repair from funds we have set aside for other projects in 2020 such as building new trails and putting up signage in the

KATVA AGM Cancelled / Postponed

KATVA AGM Cancelled / Postponed:
Due to the health concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19, the KATVA AGM that was planned for 5th of April at The OPS Community Centre has been cancelled.
We will reschedule the AGM when the risk level for holding large events is deemed to be acceptable by Public Health.

All KATVA Trails close to ATVs and SUVs on December 1st. We share a lot of the snowmobile trails and they are theirs for the winter months. Do not ride!!! It causes damage to the snowmobile trails groomed by the snowmobile clubs !!
