Permits

Types of KATVA Permits Available

A KATVA ANNUAL PERMIT IS GOOD FOR 12 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.

Permits are issued for the machine, not for the persons riding the machine. Passengers do not need an additional permit.

PROOF OF PURCHASE – HAVING THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL ON YOUR PHONE IS SUFFICIENT PROOF OF PURCHASE FOR TEMPORARY PERMITS AND FOR SINGLE ANNUAL AND FAMILY ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS UNTIL YOUR STICKER IS RECEIVED IN MAIL.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SHOW PROOF OF PERMIT ON YOUR PHONE, YOU MUST HAVE A PRINTED PAPER COPY OF YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMATION OF PURCHASE.

Temporary Permits

These permits are ideal for anyone (one rider) who does not plan to ride KATVA trails on a regular basis, or who does not want to commit to an annual permit.

Temporary permits:

  • entitle you to ride KATVA trails on a defined, limited basis
  • are valid only on day or days specified
  • are not transferable
  • can be purchased more than once by one person in a season
  • do not entitle you to KATVA membership privileges
  • are valid for consecutive days only

Annual Permits

These permits are ideal for riders who plan to ride KATVA trails on a regular basis. Annual permits are only issued jointly with a KATVA membership.

SINGLE ANNUAL PERMITS – $125

  • Single Annual Permits are ideal for one machine regardless of the number of riders for that machine.
  • Please note, 2-up machines must be Factory 2-UP and not after-market 2-ups to legally ride on KATVA trails and Kawartha Lakes and area municipalities roads.

FAMILY ANNUAL PERMITS – $250

Family Annual Permits are ideal for 2 or more (up to 5) machines registered to people of the same household. If 3 or more (up to 5) machines are grouped under the same Family Annual Permit, proof of all machines belonging to the same household is required by providing scanned or photocopies of the ownerships or insurance policies. These can be sent to info@katva.ca or text to 705-328-4482.

All Annual permits:

  • entitle you access to KATVA trails during ATV riding season(s) and KATVA membership
  • are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase

KATVA (or reciprocal partners) permits are required by the City of Kawartha Lakes to ride on sanctioned trails within the municipality. By-law restrictions do apply. Valid permits are required on trails that access private lands.
