Trail Hazards Identified

There is a tree that was cut to clear on the Sommerville 3rd Concession but it's hanging out about 2 feet onto the trail. There is another one which is the same case on trail 41 that needs to be cut back farther.

We did remove a tree on Trail 49 but there are a few more that are going to require a saw. There are go arounds for now.

Today we had 3 interesting encounters. 1st we had a sxs on the katva property trail 40 where the driver was not wearing a helmet nor did he have one to put on. We told him that was unacceptable and he had to leave the trail and not return without a helmet.

On trail 47 we had two older men that didn't have permits nor were they interested in purchasing one. They were also asked to leave the trail.

When we were coming back through the quarry at the end of trail 40 I noticed a trail has been cut into the bowl where the quarry stacked all the rocks to keep people out. In passing I noticed a dirt bike in the area they are not supposed to be. I fed him some education and asked him to not go into areas he's not supposed to be in. He also didn't have permit, insurance, or license plate. He pushed his bike out to the road and loaded it then left. It might be a good idea for the quarry or us to try to block the opening they have made.
