Saturday April 23rd was Victoria Rail Trail Cleanup day for the KATVA team of volunteers. More than 40 volunteers cleaned up garbage and debris along the entire 84 km length of the VRTC from Bethany to Kinmount. We get special permission from the City of Kawartha Lakes to be on the trail
It’s with great disappointment that we must announce the permanent closure of two main trails in our 5 Points trail system. Trails #46, off Bass Lake Road, and… trail #50, which is the main route to Kinmount have both been closed at the request of landowners. In all fairness to these landowners, they
KATVA Trail #50 Now Closed – This trail is on private property, so please respect the landowners and stay off the trail.
This trail starts at Crystal Lake Rd and goes South where it intersects with Trail #41, and the entire trail is on parcels of private property. One of the landowners on this trail
Bass Lake Trail (40) E108 from Bass Lake all the way to the fire access road near Loom Lake will be undergoing some major repairs from now untill mid December. Please !!! Avoid that trail and be mindful that there will be large machinery working there to bring us even better safer trails for 2015.
