VRT Temporary Closure – Mount Horeb Rd to Crosswind Rd

Please be advised that drainage work is scheduled to take place on Thursday July 23rd along the Victoria Rail Trail Corridor. This work will require the closure of the trail between Mount Horeb Road and Crosswind Road in Ops Township.

A big shout out to all our landowners! All the trails in the 5 points are now officially open! We had one trail that was still gated but itā€™s open now. Thank you to all the landowners in the 5 points who support motorized users including ATVs, snowmobiles, off road trucks

Construction Work on the VRTC

Construction has now begun on the Victoria Rail Trail Corridor (VRTC) from Northline Road to north of the Burnt River Bridge. The trail isnā€™t necessarily closed but from time to time they may have it blocked off for safety reasons so please use caution and respect the crews out there working.

Haliburton Rail Trail Remains Closed

Unfortunately we just received the following notice directly from the County of Haliburtonā€¦.ā€ The Rail Trail remains closed to use by motorized vehicles as long as we remain under a Provincial State of Emergency. ā€

This means that the Haliburton Rail trail will not open this weekend, May 30th, as we had hoped it would.Ā  Please
