Saturday April 23rd was Victoria Rail Trail Cleanup day for the KATVA team of volunteers. More than 40 volunteers cleaned up garbage and debris along the entire 84 km length of the VRTC from Bethany to Kinmount. We get special permission from the City of Kawartha Lakes to be on the trail
As we begin our 2016 membership season, KATVA would like to take this time acknowledge our community partner – The Fenelon Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Information Centre. Letter of Support from Ride For Dad National Office:
Our annual poker run will once again be in support of Ride for Dad – the ride to end prostrate cancer. All proceeds will go to our local cancer chapter. The ride will be held from Log Chateau Park – just north of Fenelon Falls – on Saturday June 4th. Plan on riding with us
KATVA Trail #50 Now Closed – This trail is on private property, so please respect the landowners and stay off the trail.
This trail starts at Crystal Lake Rd and goes South where it intersects with Trail #41, and the entire trail is on parcels of private property. One of the landowners on this trail
The following Bylaw was passed in Trent Lakes “only “on June 16th. It is effective July 1st. Further meetings and discussion continue with the City of Kawartha Lakes and to date no changes have been made there.

Attendance at various consumer shows and retail locations resulted in significant exposure for the Kawartha ATV Association and the ATV sport in general. The association and its members participate in these to raise the club’s profile and promote the amazing network of trails in Kawartha Lakes. Also, this presence allows the club to be recognized
Trail Signage in Somerville Forest
New discussions are in play with the City of Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation to assist in way-finding in the municipally owned Somerville Forest. The request is to assist by installing directional and way-finding signage, for the benefit of all users touring the trails off the Victoria Rail Trail.
